NO TROOP MEETING May 31 - Memorial Day
SPL Elections and Camp Barton Planning June 7th
Congratulations to John Nord for earning the rank of Eagle Scout, with one
palm already.
Barton Planning
Older scouts should think
about this year's extra offerings including jet ski and scuba. PLEASE
let Robin know if you want to participate in these two special program
and we will reserve a spot for you.

June 7 - regular
meeting 7:30-9 pm; first-year instruction: 7 pm. Frisbee, SPL ELECTIONS,
Barton Planning, BORs
June 14 - regular
meeting 7:30-9 pm; first-year instruction instruction: 7 pm.
Frisbee BORs, Code Red Team presentation
civic leader, a first
class requirement, will be taught - 7 pm SHARP
June 19-20 campout
at Shindagin Hollow - fairly easy backpacking for first years (downhill both
ways); more challenging routes for older scouts.
June 21 -Troop
2 Eagle Court of Honor/Court of Honor/Troop_Picnic
Final troop event
of academic year. Court of Honor/picnic at either Cass or Stewart park.
This will be an
extra special COH as we have scouts earning every rank from
scout/tenderfoot to Adam Beckwith's eagle !

July 4-10
Camp
Barton
Summer camp at
Barton. Arrive at or before 1:30 Sunday, leave 10 am Saturday. If you
would like to attend and we have not yet received your check please see
Mary Ellen Stewart or Robin. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED in JET SKI or SCUBA
program, please let us know so we can reserve you a place, and help
ensure they do not cancel the program the first week.
Camp Barton - JET
SKI
Jet Ski is an experimental
program, so if your scout would
like to do it and is 14 years
old, this is the year:
Jet Ski instruction and
Operation APPLY NOW IF YOU ARE
INTERESTED. This year Barton has
a regional pilot program to
allow scouts who are 14 years
old or older to enjoy
driving and become certified to
use Jet Skis owned by the camp.
Additional cost for fuel $60.
Program runs from 1 - 5 pm
Mon-Fri. First two days devoted
to obtaining NYS license for
operation of Personal
Water Craft (PWS). Scouts must
pass the NYS examination. Scouts
can then ride the PWC for the
remainder of the week under
supervision of camp staff.
If you already have NYS
certification for PWC when you
arrive at camp, you can use the
Camp PWC on Monday and Tuesday
instead of taking the course.
Ithaca Coast Guard Auxiliary
will be offering the course
on June 19-20 (9 am - 1 pm both
Sat & Sun). Call 273-7175 to
register and for information. No
charge for instruction, textbook
costs $35. Held at Auxiliary
Flotilla 2-2 base, 508 Old
Taughannock Blvd.
