Put the 50th Anniversary on your calendar – March 13, 2010

One last troop meeting before the new year.

NEWS

Had a great troop meeting last week. Practiced holiday first aid, including first aid for choking. We are ready if Santa falls off the roof, cuts of a leg, is electrocuted, or falls in a lake (DON*T RUN OUT ON THE ICE.) Same skills apply to other people as well.

Communication and Music merit badges are underway.

Over the break, Mr. Burbank would like to finish up scouts who are almost finished with First Aid merit badge. Please contact him. He wants to do Emergency Preparation merit badge in the spring, which requires First Aid. Illa Burbank is interested in starting Personal Finance merit badge (eagle required) over the break. Scouts can sign up for either badge at Dec. 21 Troop meeting.

It is "Troop 2 Ithaca" -- just search and add yourself.

On March 13, 2010, we will celebrate 50 continuous years of Troop 2 (restarted in 1959) with a dinner at Moakley House on the Cornell Golf Course.

We also would like to confirm contact information, especially for former scouts, scoutmasters, family members and friends.  The troop has its own e-mail now at troop2ithaca@gmail.com to accompany the website at troop2ithaca.org.  Please send e-mail to be added to the mailing list for the anniversary celebration, or to just update information and say hi.
