  ==========================================

Bike Campout Saturday Sept 19 to Sunday Sept 20

We will have two groups going different distances,
plus some scouts will drive to Camp Barton and work on advancement without biking.

LONG-route starts at the Congregational church at 9 am.
Will have bike equipment check out, and then bike to entrance to upper Robert Treman Park
where Park Road branches off Route 327. (Note uphill portion of trip.)  About 10 miles.

Both groups will have have lunch at NOON at entrance to upper Robert Tremen Park
Equipment check for short-route participants

SHORT- and long-route groups will then proceed north toward Trumansburg,
and then will go by upper Taughannock Falls park and down to Camp Barton, where we will camp.
This is almost all downhill, and very scenic. A little over 10 miles, downhill mostly.

Equipment will be transported by car to Barton.
We need to remove the Bartion swimming docks left after summer camp and cub day camp.

Sunday will bike directly home along route 89.
unless other arrangements are made.
Scouts can drive to their homes, or to the church and we will call parents.

In case of poor weather, plans may change.
