Popcorn orders are due on Monday!
This is a reminder that our orders have to be in next week and so please bring your completed forms to the meeting on Monday evening. Make sure you have your name and phone number on each page, sometimes I can tell whose orders they are but not always. It is vital that every scout has contributed sales in order that we get the highest possible commission. If you have any questions please contact Tony Brock tbrock@virtualcash.biz or call 257-8776.
Thanks in advance from the troop committee for all your efforts.

Backpacking campout – Nov 3-4
Troop 2 is going camping again. Everyone going needs to be sure to tell their patrol leader and come to the meeting on Monday 29th for menu planning. We will meet at church 9 am Saturday and return around noon on Sunday. The backpacking distance will depend upon ability of the group.
h Challenge for lunch: trail lunch
h Challenge for Dinner: Foil cooking, no pots
h Breakfast: something nice but not too difficult?
If you have any questions contact Jery Stedinger jrs5@cornell.edu or call 257-8016

Scout dues – reminder
Scout dues are payable now, we split the payment into two parts, $35 now and then, for scouts who achieve $200 in fundraising (see popcorn and wreath sales) that is all. Any scouts who do not achieve the fundraising looked for will be asked for a second payment of $35 in January. Just as an added incentive; any scout who reaches $200 will get 20% of their total in scout dollars to use for events throughout the year. Past events have included rafting, museum visits, scuba diving and rock climbing and these can all be paid for out of their scout account if they have sufficient sales. Please make your check payable to Boy Scout Troop 2.
Thanks to all the parents, the troop committee and the dedicated volunteers who give so much of their time to make the troop such a great part of the boys’ lives.

Webelos visit
We had a great visit from several Webelos last week and it was good to see everyone pitch in and show what a great troop we have. Special thanks to scouts who organized and delivered their own program: Jeremy for fire by friction, Istvan and his helpers for fire starting, and DC for duck-tape neckerchief slides. Sincere thanks to scouts who ran a number of programs: Justin as den chief, Ian at cub skis, John and Kenny with rope walk, and Sam and Luke with tree matching. The rest of the troop did a great job pitching in and being welcoming.
