Skioree 2007,
March 9-10
Anyone interested in going to the
annual Skioree at Greek Peak will need to tell their patrol leader
or Scoutmaster Jery Stedinger by the end of the meeting on Monday March
5. Full details, including all costs options are on our
Skioree web pages. The costs for Friday evening on the
bunny slopes and then chairs 1&2 on Saturday are a bargain at $59
including dinner, sleeping space, breakfast and equipment rental. Anyone
wishing to upgrade to the full mountain package on Saturday can
do so by paying an additional $10. Season pass holders with
equipment need only pay $20 for food and accommodation. Be sure to
bring a sleeping bag, toothbrush, clothes for skiing Friday evening and
Saturday as well as clean dry clothes for sleeping Friday night.
Meet at FCC for departure at 5:00PM on
Friday and scouts should be returned home by 5:00PM on Saturday.

University of
Scouting,
This is a great adult training opportunity with many of troop 2's
adults participating, including our own Jery Stedinger
running a course on advertising and publicity.
Scheduled for March 31, 2007 at Chenango Forks High School from
8:30AM until 4:30PM, the University costs $20 if booked by March 25 and
$25 after or you may pay at the door.

Camping and
rafting trip,
April 21, 2007 we will be heading down into the Grand Canyon of
Pennsylvania for a weekend of camping and rafting. Pine Creek
has provided troop 2 with lots of fun in the past and we expect this
year to be a great opportunity to get out and get wet! We will
leave the parking lot at FCC at 9:00AM and return around 3:00PM on
Sunday afternoon. The cost of the trip is $40 including equipment
rental, camp site rental and a commemorative patch. We will camp at
Colton Point State Park on Saturday before rafting on Sunday
morning. There are lots of opportunities to see wildlife (including Bald
Eagles, Osprey and some really cool yellow Palomino Trout). For more

Leadership growth opportunities for Scouts,
NYLT
- National Youth Leadership Training for scouting youth will be
available for boys interested in taking a more active role in the
troop and getting great experience in leadership training. Courses
will be held at Camps Barton and Tuscarora August 3-5, and 10-12, 2007.
