Ithaca History Center,

Please take note - we are NOT meeting at FCC, instead we have an external meeting. At our next meeting, Monday January 29th, we are going to meet at the Ithaca History Center (Tompkins County Museum), 401 E. State Street. 7-9:00PM, telephone 273-8284. The meeting starts with Senior Patrol Leader elections before we get to the fun part of the evening. For more information see www.thehistorycenter.net Parents please arrive to collect your scouts at the regular time of 9:00PM. There is adequate parking behind the History Center.

Scout Sunday and sleepover,

February 3 is the date for our annual overnight at the church and leads into Scout Sunday at First Congregational on Sunday. Bring a sleeping bag and wash gear to the church at 5:30PM on Saturday. We will have lots of fun and games into the night, including a campfire and finally some rest. Bring outdoor clothes so we can play some night games, maybe flashlight tag and capture the flag. Supper and breakfast provided (bring $5). Troop 2 will get together with friends from Troop 4, Venture Crew 2000 and the Girl Scouts. Arrange for pick up at 9:00AM on Sunday unless you are one of the Scouts intending to stay for the service on Sunday, in which case you should bring your uniform.

Court of Honor and annual Friends of Scouting presentation,

February 5 is the date for our next court of honor at which we will celebrate the achievements of our scouts since the start of the school year. The Spartan patrol will provide refreshments and all are welcome. It makes it much more special for the scouts if their families can turn out and it makes for a very pleasant social gathering after the meeting. We will also have a presentation by Liam Murphy on behalf of the Friends of Scouting, this event is one of the chief fundraisers for our council and your support is vital to the continued provision of a great scouting program in our area.
