Happy
New Year everyone,
There are a number of new items on the site, we have a great
animated knots site (thanks
Phil) and a primer for First Aid that may be helpful as a refresher for
anyone interested. Jery also sent me a link to a very comprehensive web
site
www.enquiry.net that covers
everything from
Advancement to Zoroastrianism, if you have
several hours/days to spend you may well enjoy browsing this site (all
2280 pages). If you have seen the
barber's pole with a duck mounted
on top and wondered what it is all about then pay attention to the
Klondike Derby (details below) as this is the event at which
Troop 2 keeps leading the way in participation.

Michael Deyhim
Eagle Court of Honor,
December 28 at the Lutheran Church, Ithaca. Michael's achievement was
recognized by a good number of the troop and parents. In recognition
official letters of congratulation came from the state senate,
several political leaders, the US senate and, particularly,
President G. W. Bush and the First Lady Laura Bush. Congratulations
to Michael and family, we have several pictures of the evening on the
troop photos page.

Klondike Derby,
January 19 - 21 are the dates for our traditional
cold
weather/emergency situation campout at Camp Barton (not sure what is
going to happen this year) and the patrols will be
planning menus
at the meeting
Monday 1/15. Be sure to
dress appropriately
as this is a whole weekend of outdoor activities. If you have any
questions please contact Mart Tate
mwt5@cornell.edu or speak to your patrol leader.
