STOP PRESS

The fall bike hike is set for 9/24 and will be based around biking to Camp Barton (details for the route and meals to be finalized at Monday's meeting). We will be working with a cub scout camp and the Ranger to help clear away tents, cots etc for the winter shut down at Camp B. If you wish to take part be at the regular meeting on Monday 9/19 and be ready to discuss menus, route planning etc. Note - additional parent help required, please contact Mark Tate or Tim Nord for details.

PLC Meeting

Sunday evening saw the first PLC meeting of the 2005/6 scouting year. A good start to the calendar has been made (see below for details).

Court of Honor

Our Fall Court of Honor is set for October 3, please make a date to congratulate our scouts on their merit badge achievements and activities at Camp Barton and since the start of the scouting year.

Fall fundraising

Next week sees the start of our fall fundraising with the launch of the popcorn and holiday wreath promotions. District FlyOree

Cortland airport will be the venue for the Taughannock district aviation weekend from Friday night to Sunday. The FlyOree will have things to do and see for everyone and is an events not to be missed. October 14 - 16. More details will be available shortly.

Troop Committee vacancies

We are looking for two, hopefully three, parents to step up and take part in the running of the troop. Unless you take on a position within the committee, responsibilities consist of monthly meetings at FCC during the school year, it is not time consuming and gives an opportunity to get involved with a great bunch of people, scouts and parents.
